Can’t believe the failure rates are true. If that was the case the western economies would be falling apart ( ..oh,they are !). I’ve been self employed a year and am doing finacially better than I ever have. Fear of failiure is a big driving force, as well as self belief and good family support.

I let go of wussiness and wrote a book to help other people get over their wussiness, using the same techniques I used to help me. You’re right, it really does increase your confidence when you accomplish small goals, and make you more likely to succeed with your next goals. I’m able to spot “Wussy” thinking in others now, because I WERE one for so long. Great article.

I think for people who are always so paralyzed with fear that they never act, all this advice is great, but at certain times, fear is a perfectly healthy response to let you know that you don’t know everything. Some people, if they fear they will fail, they’ll redouble their efforts to plug up all the leaks that might cause them to fail an go in head-on on the task.

There are so many people without fear who blindly walk into the fire without having done their research ahead of time.

Failure is not always a bad thing. Very few people succeed first time round. I have failed in all my business endeavours so far; but every time I learn something new about myself. This time, things are working out OK. Never give up.

Yeah putting ones neck out there can be scary – continually to do so to grow a company can be overwhelming. I do have a money goal – but I do not think I am going to reach it over night – the amount is low too lol.
