Ladies and Gentlemen, I hate writing these kinds of posts. Unfortunately, I can’t just sweep this one under the rug. You see, when calculating the prices for the newly released advertising options, I made a pretty large error. For the 125 x 125 ad blocks, I intended to keep the cost per thousand impressions (cpm) at about $2.50. When I multiplied the that cost by the number of impressions, I arrived at $125. Unfortunately, I had forgotten to take the number of impressions for a MONTH and instead took the total number of impressions. Woops!
What does that mean? It means the actual cpm for an ad block was more like $5.00 which, while certainly not outlandish, was not the bargain I had hoped to offer. So, to rectify my error (can you tell I was not a math major in school?), I’ve slashed the price of the ad unit to $60.00 per month or roughly $2.40 cpm.
I’d like to thank Angel from World of Angel for having the guts to question my price which eventually led to me realizing my mistake. While I stand by the points made in the comments of the advertising announcement, I was advertising a $2.50 cpm which in fact was twice that and as I hope you all know, that’s not in line with my character at all. If you’re interested in this or any of the advertising options available, drop an email to advertising at bloggingexperiment.com. Thanks!

2Hehe that’s quite funny but don’t worry, it just means that you’ve got the “thinking BIG” mindset and that’s a good thing
