Wow, it’s been quite the week here at Blogging Experiment. The Complete Blogging Package contest is in full swing and has driven the Feedburner feed count up to nearly 100! That’s pretty darn good for a 6 week old site if you ask me. At this rate, I’ll be shelling out some of those extra prizes for this contest. The good news doesn’t stop there though as there have been more than 20 sites that entered the contest as well as several high profile bloggers plugging the contest. John Chow, Chris Garrett, and Yaro Starak all mentioned the contest and that’s led to the highest traffic levels of the site’s young existence. A week or so after the contest is over I’ll write a post about the benefits to the site but I think it’s safe to say if you can come up with a compelling prize, a contest is a great way to generate some buzz for your site.
Also, don’t forget to either comment or email me your questions for Monday’s Reader Question Session. I’ve had a couple of questions sent in already but there’s really no harm in having several to choose from. I find that a lot of times in trying to find an answer for someone, I end up learning something new myself so I really look forward to these posts.
A quick note to anyone considering taking advantage of Text Link Ads’ offer for $100 in free links when you sign up and spend at least $25. They are also offering a 15% discount on your entire order if you type the word “August” in the coupon code field. I’m not sure whether you can combine the two offers (I’m already signed up) but it’s worth a shot.
I think that’s about it, have a great weekend everyone. I’ll see you on Monday!

1Hey, another One Year guy! Cool! I need to read through your blog to see the other questions that were asked for previous Mondays, then I’ll come back to make one myself.
I did a video review of OneYearGoal, a guy who wants to make $100,000 over the course of the next year. You should check it out! Will you be next? Hmmm…

3That’s amazing results in such a short time. Looks like you’re going to blog fulltime within the year.

4@ HarpersDad, I’d love to hit 1k. We just hit 100 today. I know it’s Saturday and I don’t usually post but I might have to.
@ FreeSelf, well one way or the other I hope anyone reading this blog can replicate my results.

5Don’t feel the pressure to post on Saturday just because you got 100 RSS subscribers. I don’t anymore. Weekends are usually slow, and your readers understand that you have a life. I post humor on Sundays because that’s my self-appointed ‘do-not-work’ day. I think you’re doing fine!
