Attention to detail, focus and sticking at something are all crucial to success, I believe.

The other thing is to make sure that you research what you are doing and try to make sure that you have a plan to maximise your chances of success in the first place.

Yeah, my last post about “blog contest” took three hours… *sigh*
But i believe if i keep pushing and hone my English, i will eventually going to be a better writer

I am thinking to blog in my own language later on. So far, i think it is easier for me to get traffic if i made one in English. Not to forget it also gonna be easier to monetize

John Chow really is a good example. I like to read his blog and get a lot of inspiration there

I can only imagine the struggle that someone would have if English weren’t their first language. It’s hard enough for me as it is.

I have often wondered why bloggers don’t blog in their native language? Is it the attraction of the size of the English speaking population?

I would have to assume that to be so but I have wondered. Stick to it, if you want it badly enough you will be able to overcome.

One of the more famous bloggers out there aka John Chow did not have English as his native tongue but he has done quite well.

Great post here Bill! You really gave the best. I think i got the potential to be quiter. I never thought blogging is gonna be this hard, as English is not my first language, i have to triple my effort to make a decent post.

Sometimes i think quiting, especially if i look into the competition. But i guess, i’ll take lesson from your post here, and make my self more persistent.

Courage is a choice, skills are learned which is a choice and your supporting crew is chosen by you as well.

Too many people chalk up their failure to bad luck…but it’s usually a series of bad choices in my opinion.

It is not a choice to failure or success. It depends on many factors: your failure or just your success. I think you need the courage, the skills and the people around you supporting for what you want to reach. Then you have all you need to success.

@Caroline – Great advice. Clarity will come to you when you find the niche that is right for you. Blogging won’t seem like a chore or a task when you find the topic that suits you.

@Petra, that doesn’t make you a quitter! Quite the opposite! Most people would have given up for GOOD after the first one but you’ve decided the idea was bad, and tried again, and again, and again. What you do have to be careful of is that you never give one project a chance but you always have to know when a particular idea is not working but you are keeping the bigger picture in mind and you are continuing to blog so well done you!

@Petra….maybe 10 times is a charm? I think most bloggers take a couple of swings at the ball before they make contact. As long as you are having fun…that is all that matters.
