Elegant Themes are somewhat not for the newbies because it needs a little customization.

You will need to have knowledge of FTP because themes and plugins are uploaded separately. But it looks great too. And cheap of course.

I have been looking for the perfect theme to use for my blog and found it with Elegant Themes. I also want to point out how AWESOME Nick is! I am not the most graphics or wordpress literate person but he has been patient with me and all my ridiculous questions. Thanks Nick!

I am looking for someone with the know how to upload my theme files to my ftp site or wordpress account. I am also looking for someone that can create a basic text with color logo for my theme.

Annika, the themes are very easy to tweak given a basic understanding of CSS and/or HTML. Nick has even redesigned the management panel for all of his themes allowing even those no CSS/HTML knowledge the resources to change things by simply point, click, update.

Thank you so much for this review, since it’s still up-to-date. I had found these themes allready but wanted to learn more. I’m new to wordpress, and have a question: How easy is it to change basic styles like background, header, font size and font colour? I really like the features and structure of many of these themes but I want to be able to personalize it by tweeking it…

Well as designer and coder I expect to be paid correctly but also when I release some libraries as open source I don’t expect to be paid and not for this reason I’m going to relase something that is useless, bugy or incomplete.
Just beacause it’s free doesn’t means that it must be bad… (and most of the free wordpress themes out there are just very very ugly).
