@Earn Money Writing – Realistically, I think it’s probably not in your favor unless your website appeals to a wide, general audience. Having said that, you never know until you try. If you were to try it, I would do two things: 1) know which target demographic is best suited for your site and target them only 2) have some sort of tracking mechanism, be it a promo code or something similar the visitor has to enter to get something like a free report, so you can see how productive the flyers actually were. If you just pass out flyers and don’t have a way to quantify anything, it’s not really going to tell you much.

@Earn Money Writing – It depends, if you can pass out flyers to a targeted, interested market I’m going to say Yes, I think flyers could be beneficial for any number of things. Have I ever tested it out? No. But I have found that looking down avenues that most others will not can sometimes produce some nice little surprises. The hard thing with flyers is that there’s really no way to make sure a person is actually seeing it, you know?

This is so true.

They are, after all, people.

I think a lot of people take a hit and run approach to internet marketing, rather than building relationships.

You know I tried using flyers to promote a site of mine. My Home Owners Association has a monthly newsletter that goes out to about 2,000 plus homes and the let you advertise for a small fee. So I decided to give it a go and used a new domain name with redirect to my main site so I could track it. I ended up getting a lot of attention. I did this just to experiment to see if this kind of thing worked and it did very well. So just imagine if you took to apartments etc you could get great exposure for little cost.
