@ Kiltak, very nice! With this blog being so young I stuck with people I’ve already had contact with (through the Mastermind program and the Authority Forum). One day I’d like to pull off something like Problogger is doing where he just puts the call out for prizes and has to turn most of them down. Now that’s a good position to be in.

Oh yes they work..

The proof is that if your blog is well known and you ask web corporations to sponsor your contest, they’ll often throw in additional prizes.. I’ll have one at the end of this month with more than $1400 in prizes, most of it in cash. There’s barely $100 of the total that is going to come out of my pockets.

Contests work but then again anything that generates traffic with people participating is great. Add in your link plot and you had an awesome idea.

We jumped from 200 to 319 subscribers after a popular article picked up on stumble upon. And we saw almost 20,000 hits on our 20th day alive – from DIGG!
