Posted by Ben Cook as Friday Phrase Auctions, Site News
Well we’re back around to the first and most popular phrase we’ve auctioned off so far, make money online. As always if you’d like your link to appear whenever that phrase is on this site, you need to bid! The starting bid will be $5 and the bidding will go up in increments of $5 as well. The auction closes on Sunday night at 11:59 pm central standard time and I’ll contact the winner after that. There is a bit of a twist this week but I’ll get to that in a minute.
Next week, there will be lot of exciting things coming your way. I already have the question (from several people) for Monday’s Reader Question Session, and I have two websites I’ve been asked to put Under the Microscope which I haven’t done for a while. I’m also hoping to have a VERY exciting announcement for you as well towards the end of the week but I’ll leave it at that since it’s still up in the air. Also, for any baseball fans that might be reading this, I want to let you know I’ve launched a new blog based on MLB trade rumors, trade reports and all the fun stuff associated with that. If you like America’s pastime, be sure to check it out and maybe even subscribe!
Tuesday is my 23rd birthday. I’ve got to admit, I’m a big birthday guy and I’m pretty excited about it. The reason is of course, the presents. I love getting them. However, my mom always told me it’s better to give than to receive…. so, on Tuesday I’ll give away one of the 125×125 ad blocks to one of the bidders in this week’s Friday Phrase Auction! Not only will you be bidding to link that phrase to your site, you’ll also be entered into the drawing for a free ad block for the rest of the month (a $60 value!). As if that weren’t enough, at the end of the month every person who has bid on one of the auctions will also be entered into a grand prize drawing. I was hoping to have the package ready to announce today but that just didn’t happen but trust me, it’s going to be big.I probably should clarify a couple of points. First of all, each bid counts as an entry. Also, if you win an auction, you’ll get 3 additional entries on top of the entry per bid. Now, if you win an auction and then don’t pay, you’ll be automatically disqualified from the drawing. Basically, don’t bid unless you’re prepared to win.So, how’s that for a twist? I’m hoping this will inject a bit of excitement into the auction format and maybe even entice a few more of you to participate. Having said all that… do I hear $5? ![]()

2Giving is suppose to be “giving”, not getting more money
Anyways, Happy 23rd B-Day to you! Hope all your wishes come true!

8Are the links permanent or do they get removed at the end of the month?

12@ SEO…
You can buy words if they are not already being used from an auction.

13@ Angel, Jamie is right. The links are for a month and then will go up for auction again. If you win the auction again the links will be uninterrupted.
@ SEO blog, Tim is right. If the word you want hasn’t been used in an auction you can purchase the phrase for $20 a month.

16@ SEOBlog, lol it’s up to you of course, but phrases that are purchased I tend to use them more often.

18Well, there are only hours to go in the auction and so far there are only 4 entrants into the drawing for the 125×125 ad as well! Remember, the winner of the auction gets 3 extra entries so right now that gives the top bidder a 50% chance of winning the extra ad as well!
Do I hear $25?
