Posted by Ben Cook as Friday Phrase Auctions
For this week’s Friday Phrase Auction we’re going to double up the terms again. Last week we auctioned off monetize and monetization but this week we’re going to turn our attention to a subject near and dear to my heart: search engine optimization (SEO). Most of you know that my interest in internet marketing and this whole make money online niche started as a direct result of my SEO work. So, when trying to decide which phrase(s) to auction up this week, I figured why not target those who would appreciate the value of a contextual non-nofollowed organic looking link, SEOs?
Just in case this is your first phrase auction, the ground rules are simple. Veterans of previous auctions pay attention as well because I’m changing it up a bit. The bidding will start at $10 and will continue to go up in increments of 10. You’re bidding on linking the phrases seo, and search engine optimization to a URL of your choice (pending approval) for one full month. If I decide not to auction off the phrase again at the end of that month, you’ll get first crack at renewing the ad. The bidding will end at 11:59 p.m central standard time and payment (via paypal) is due immediately following. Having said all that, good luck, happy bidding, and do I hear $10?

1Ben, you’ve really given me an idea for holding similar auctions on my own blog when it’s old enough. I didn’t think your auctions would be that successful, but they’ve been extremely successful thus far. $100 per week, not bad at all and you can just integrate the links in your content, so no new advertising space needed. ingenious I say…

3Ruchir, it’s not been 100 per week by any means. I’m around $100 a month with it so far.
@CompuWorld, allowing Google to run your site is in my opinion foolish. So far the only thing they have done to those sites selling links is drop their visible page rank. That has no effect on rankings or anything else. In the end though, it’s each site owner’s choice what to do with their site.
