I tell ya what, if I keep up this pace, I’ll hit my daily goal of scoring 100 points in my daily blog score by the end of the week rather than the end of the month like I was shooting for. As you can see in the chart below, I topped yesterday’s score by 7 on the back of 30 comments on other blogs. I’ll go more in depth about that heap of comments tomorrow but suffice to say, I think it was time well spent.

That’s how I scored, how’d you do?

Hey Ben, good job on the scoring. If you are having that easy of a time reaching your goal you can earn me a few points, lol. Right now I have 30 more points to reach my goal on Passionate Blogger for the day. Already got my 50 for my other blog.
I saw a number of your comments on John Chow’s blog yesterday and that’s how I found your blog. I say it’s time well spent to get people on your site and commenting. Good work!
Erik, don’t give away my secret before my post hehe. But yeah, if I could gain a couple of readers for every 30 comments I leave somewhere, I’d say that’s a great return on my time.
Glad you found the site and I hope you enjoy it here. Let me know if you need anything.
Doh, sorry Ben. Forget I said anything!
Lol no worries, I’m getting ready to post it in a few minutes anyway. Just givin ya a hard time.
Ben, leaving comments on other blogs is really working well for me too. I think my son and husband think that I have become addicted to being online. I am spending so much time reading and writing that I haven’t taken the time to actually sit down and fill out the chart that I printed out for scoring my activities. Two weeks ago, I did my first Blog Carnival. It brought in about 30 visitors to my site. Last week, I participated in 5 Carnivals, my visitor stats went from 130 overall to over 300 in one week. I just submitted articles for about 10 more Carnivals to come out throughout the month of August. Still not as many subscribers as I would like, but that number is growing too. Now, I need to go write a draft for another article that is in my head. Have a glorious day.
Patricia, my wife realized long ago I’m an online addict lol.
I’ve never really gotten into blog carnivals and I’m not sure why. I don’t know if they just don’t fit my personality or I don’t quite understand them or what. Maybe I’ll look into it over the weekend…
Blog Carnival is the site to find most of them. I do most of mine in the Spirituality, Religion, Self-improvement, Law of Attraction blogs. There are a lot of How-to-blog Carnivals listed too. I have been amazed at the jump in my stats. Here is a well written article on how to do Carnivals. http://trevorhampel.com/how-to-participate-in-blog-carnivals/ . I just found this article this week because Trevor and I were in a Carnival together.
Another great idea for this Wannabe dot Com Mogul to pick up and run with, Thanks
Great Blog; some very interesting and real-life informative articles. You’re on me Goog Reader now.
This Point Score idea of yours is a very well thought out one and one which I will be setting up to follow myself. Need a tangible benchmark to stay motivated.
One thing that came to mind: The Point Score system creates a positive force for you to put in some time to your blogging, which creates content, links via comments etc. Should this then not reflect positively in revenue generation?
My question is this: Are your Point Scores directly propostional to your revenue generation or click tracking figures?
@ Wild Bill
I read a lot of blogs and the most of them are saying that they running more than 1 blog. But I am curious how they do that? It is not easy to generate content for both of them to let them succeed.
So, could someone give a constructive answer which answers the question: why some bloggers having more than one blog?>
