As many of you have probably noticed by now, I’ve implemented a plugin called Feed Footer that allows me to append a footer to the end of each blog post in the RSS feed. I’ve been testing the plugin for a while using two simple links one pointing to the advertisement page, and the other (as you can see in the image below) promoting Blogging Experiment’s premium WordPress theme.

After several weeks of testing, I’ve decided to open this space up to advertisers! Only 5 spaces will be offered for sale and the introductory price will be just $30 per month! The ad can be a text ad like the one you see in the image, or a 234×60 image. Also, as I’ve done with other new ad options in the past, I’m offering a free week of advertising if you sign up now. With 5 posts a week and the subscriber count climbing steadily towards 1,000* and beyond, I’m guessing these spaces will fill up fast so reserve your spot (via the contact form) today!
* - The feed count shown today is 475. This is us due to a temporary communication error between Feedburner and Google Feedfetcher. You’d think two Google products would be able to communicate correctly but I guess not… See here, here, and here for more examples.

1That’s a good deal. I would see this as a better investment than to buy a spot on the scratch back. For the same price too.
I’m intending to do either one (now more the RSS feed than scratchback) but I’m waiting till I don’t have to pay out of pocket (when i have enough in PayPal to pay my hosting and advertising based off of my revenue). Who knows when that will happen.
Good idea Ben.

2Ben, you should actually start the prices lower first to test things out even more.

3@ mike, how low would you want me to drop it? I really don’t think $30 is unreasonable.
